ABREWCADABREW.COM was originally intended and created to document my journey into homebrewing, from enamoured novice to seasoned beer meister. It was also going to serve as a gallery and library for my magic, poetry, and cooking.

Now don’t get me wrong, that’s still exactly the plan, only…

Well, add one more to the list of things I’ll be blogging about: my eventual fatherhood.

That’s right, my wife’s got a bun in the oven!

The revelations and realizations of what’s happening and going to happen and may or may not happen has sparked a series of creative epiphanies for what I can do with this site (to say that I’m excited is like calling the Big Bang “an explosion”). But for now please celebrate with me and my family as we look forward to this newest adventure in our lives.

…That was two weeks ago. Exactly. And John Lennon couldn’t have sung it any better: “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”

Yesterday, my wife and I discovered that our unborn baby is dead. Has been dead for at least two weeks. No specific cause or reason was given, but there’s a history I’ll share with you some other time. For now please send us your thoughts and prayers and wish my wife well.

The adventure hasn’t ended, we just need to start again.
