There’s not a lot of news to share, but only because I’ve just recovered from a cold and stomach flu. I did finally manage to get a much-needed haircut, but I’m still behind on a slippery list of things to do, including getting out 年賀状 (Nengajō, Japanese New Year’s cards) A.S.A.P.
Here’s my current remaining much ado about nothings:
Tomorrow, Wednesday, the 24th: Get in queue at the Yokohama Immigration Office to obtain a re-entry permit. Question: single or multiple-use (i.e. 3,000 or 6,000 yen out-of-pocket)?
Saturday, the 27th: Invited to a private wine tasting, but as I’ll be busy locked in the office until at least 7 P.M., I doubt I’ll be able to attend.
Sunday, the 28th: Head on over to the Nakameguro Taproom for their “BBQ and Champion Homebrew Celebration“. It starts at noon, but I won’t be there until hours later. Hope I don’t miss out on Hitoshi Tanaka’s GIN’s #76 Pale Ale.
Sunday, the 28th: Heading on over instead to my brother-in-law’s farm, SYOKU-YABO, to help out in the field. Afterward, we’ll talk about future specialty grain and hop production – I’m offering to brew a house beer for them. Pictures and post forthcoming.
And then it’s December.
