It’s Golden Week in Japan, which for me means the end of allergy season and a week-long holiday to revel in. I kicked off celebrations Saturday night with a visit to Bashamichi Taproom. Yesterday, despite the miserable weather, I met up with fellow homebrewers and friends for lunch at Mokichi Foods Garden; afterwards, we “hopped” over to Beer Cafe Hopman, where we continued talking life and drinking beer.
Wednesday the 4th: I’ll be going to Mishima, again to get together with other homebrewers, but this time to brew a Smoked Scottish Export Ale. Provided we don’t explode in the process, we’ll extol our successes and thank the beer gods with pints at Numazu Fishmarket Taproom. Rumour has it I may even pull out my cards and perform some magic!
So until the next, here are a few pictures of my new gear, last LME beer (Doomsday Dark Ale), and Bashamichi Taproom cheer.
